This year millions of school children around the world will benefit from D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education), the highly acclaimed program that gives kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs, and violence.

Our D.A.R.E. program has been in place since 1991 and is administered to sixth grade students at Falls Elementary and St. Thomas schools in International Falls by Sgt. Operation Bikelock
bikelock

Operation Bikelock is offered to the community.  It is a free registration program sponsored by the I.F.P.D. and The Sports Shop.

Bike information is entered into a database at IFPD.  The database allows us to identify registered bikes quickly and makes recovery, return, and prosecution more efficient.  Best of all, it's absolutely free! Back to top

Bicycle Rodeo
Each year in late May or early June, IFPD. sponsors a bicycle rodeo.  Children can ride a safety-training course for a certificate, receive safety tips from IFPD Bike Patrol officers, get some goodies, and go home with a brand new helmet.  Once again, it's free! Back to top
Student Internship
