CONSENT AGENDA
The Consent Agenda allows the City Council to take action on routine matters by one motion that shall not be debated and shall be adopted by unanimous vote of those present. Any individual Council member may remove an item from the Consent Agenda for discussion on the regular agenda. (Council action)

  1. Year 2018 license renewal
  2. Approve travel and continuing education training expenses for Kelly Meyers to attend the ICC Upper Great Plains Region III Educational Institute on February 13 – 16, 2018; the Energy Design Conference February 19 – 21, 2018; and quarterly Arrowhead Chapter Building Official Meetings
  3. Approve travel and training expenses for Ted Brokaw to attend various conferences and seminars in 2018 per attached request
  4. Approve IRS mileage reimbursement rate for 2018
  5. Approve LMCIT Liability Coverage Waiver Form to not waive limits on Municipal Tort Liability and authorize signatures.

 

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Approval of payroll dates – biweekly on Tuesday, commencing 1/2/2018 (Council action)
  2. Resolution #__ -18 Designation of Depositors (Council action-motion)
  3. Designation of official newspaper for required publications – The Journal (Council action)
  4. Mayoral appointment of members to internal and external committees for City Council confirmation (Council action)
  5. Approve appointment of Fire Relief Association members (Council action)
  6. Adopt Resolution No. ___-18 approving application for exempt permit for MN Deer Hunters Association, Trails End Chapter to conduct a raffle with the drawing to be held on April 6, 2018 at Backus Community Building, International Falls (Council action)
  7. Authorize the Police Department to seek quotes for acquisition of two 2018 Police Package Patrol Vehicles (sedan and SUV), Chief Mastin (Council action)
  8. Approve Budget and Finance Committee recommendations (Council action):    
    1. Down payment amount for acquisition of used 2007 Ladder Truck from Fire Safety USA
  9. Any other business.
