  1. Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. __, Fifth Series, An Ordinance of the City of International Falls, Minnesota, Annexing Land Located in Koochiching County, Minnesota, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 414.033, Subdivision 2 (1) (Council action)
  2. Remove from the table – Consider revisions to the Joint Powers Agreement for the Recreation Commission and authorize signatures (Council action)

 

CONSENT AGENDA
The Consent Agenda allows the City Council to take action on routine matters by one motion that shall not be debated and shall be adopted by unanimous vote of those present.   • Authorize travel, lodging, and registration fees for Council and/or staff to attend a LMC 2018 Regional Meeting
  • Authorize travel, lodging, and registration fees for staff to attend a LMC 2018 Fall Safety and Loss Control Workshop on Mental Health First Aid
  • Authorize travel, lodging, and registration fees for Paramedic Myers to attend the PulseCheck Summit seminar September 21, 2018 in Prior Lake, MN
  • Consider Rental Service Agreements for 24-month term with AmeriPride Linen and Uniform Services for the Library and Borderland Humane Society Bldg. and authorize signatures
  • Accept resignation of Lisa Mortenson, Casual Paramedic, from the Fire/Rescue/EMS Dept. effective August 1, 2018 (Council action)
  • Accept resignation of Stacy MacIntyre, EMT/Paid On-Call Firefighter, from the Fire/Rescue/EMS Dept. effective August 31, 2018 (Council action)

 

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Approve 5K Suicide Awareness Run fundraising event from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018, Douglas M. Smith (Council action)
  2. Authorize the City Attorney to proceed with blight enforcement at the following properties (Council action):
    1. Borderland Rentals, LLC (Taxpayer Vicki L. Wickstrom), 723 9th Street, Parcel No. 92-007-78010.
    2. U.S. Bank National Association ND, 1531 2nd Avenue East, Parcel No. 92-120-03170.
  3. Resolution __-18, Requesting the Koochiching County Board consider a pedestrian crosswalk on Keenan Drive/CSAH 45 from the Good Samaritan Care Center to the north sidewalk, Mayor Anderson (Council action)
  4. Discuss process for enforcement of corrective actions at residential structures/properties without required water or other utility service(s) (Council information/action)
  5. Accept resignation for retirement of Craig A. Johnson effective end of day September 28, 2018, and approve posting to fill the Equipment Operator vacancy (Council action)
  6. Accept resignation for retirement of Reid Toninato effective end of day September 28, 2018, and approve posting to fill the Maintenance Worker I vacancy (Council action)
  7. Authorize proposed budget not to exceed $2,200 for the Community Wide Cleanup Day for a date to be determined in September 2018, payable from 101-40700-3840, Refuse, Cynthia Jaksa (Council action)
