CONSENT AGENDA
The Consent Agenda allows the City Council to take action on routine matters by one motion that shall not be debated and shall be adopted by unanimous vote of those present. Any individual Council member may remove an item from the Consent Agenda for discussion on the regular agenda. (Council action)

  1. Approve/allow necessary travel expenses for up to three public works employees to attend a free MN Rural Water Association Hydrant Repair Training session in Deer River, MN on May 30, 2019
  2. Year 2019 license renewal for Mickey Belanger dba Oh 4 Sweet Catering – itinerant restaurant license
  3. Approve Cooperative Fire Protection Agreement No. 17 261 36302 for wildland fires between the Minnesota DNR and the International Falls Fire Department and authorize signatures

 

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Request approval for ISD 361 6th Grade students to paint drain stencils at various catch basin locations with support by Public Works Dept. and Police Dept. personnel on May 21, 2019, with May 24, 2019 as a rain-day, Jolen Simon, Koochiching Soil and Water Conservation District (Council action)
  2. Approve vendor use of Smokey Bear Park by Fun Food Factory, Trena Martinez (after-the-fact) (Council action)
  3. Request to co-sponsor the Koochiching Labor Assembly, Labor Day picnic on Monday, September 2, 2019 and approve closure of 3rd Street and use of Smokey Bear Park, Mark Thorpe (Council action)
  4. Approve hiring of summer employee roster (Council action)
  5. Appoint Scott Wherley as part-time Police Officer from the list of eligibles effective May 7, 2019 (Council action)
  6. Adopt Resolution No.
    -19 authorizing execution of MnDOT Airport Maintenance and Operation Grant Contract No. 1033581 effective July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021 (Council action)
