PUBLIC NOTICE AND NEWS RELEASE – COVID-19 (Corona Virus)

The City of International Falls is concerned for the safety and well-being of its citizens. International Falls is taking necessary steps to ensure essential services are provided throughout this pandemic, including Emergency Medical Services and Public Works.

The International Falls City Council has scheduled a Special Council Meeting for Monday, March 16, 2020 at 4:30 P.M. to assess the pandemic plan phases, as outlined by the League of Minnesota Cities. The International Falls City Council will meet as necessary during this pandemic.

 

The City is working closely with Koochiching County Public Health and Human Services to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.

 

 

KEY THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP PREVENT THE SPREAD OF GERMS:

 

  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
