    March 10, 2020 City Council Special Meeting Minutes

4:30 P.M.

 

A special meeting of the City Council of the City of International Falls, Minnesota, was held to meet in closed session in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building on Monday, the 10th day of March 2020, at the hour of 4:30 P.M.

 

MEMBERS PRESENT:     Councilors Buller, Ditsch, Krause, Nelson and Mayor Droba.

MEMBERS ABSENT:    None.

OTHERS PRESENT:    City Administrator Ken Anderson.

 

CALL TO ORDER and CONVENE CLOSED MEETING

Mayor Droba called the special meeting to order at 4:30 P.M. Mayor Droba announced that the City Council would proceed into a closed meeting session with the above listed persons present to continue the performance evaluation of the City Administrator that was first conducted on March 2, 2020, with Councilor Nelson not present. MOTION by Councilor Ditsch to recess the open meeting and move to close the meeting to continue the performance evaluation of Kenneth R. Anderson, City Administrator, per Minnesota Statute, 13D.05, Subd. 3 (a). Motion seconded by Councilor Buller and carried unanimously. Administrator Anderson was asked to leave the room for the City Council to meet privately. At 5:06 P.M. the evaluation continued with City Administrator Anderson present.

   

RECONVENE OPEN SESSION


 

MOTION by Councilor Buller to adjourn the closed session at 5:40 P.M. and reconvene the open session of the City Council special meeting. Motion seconded by Councilor Nelson and carried unanimously.

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ADJOURNMENT

Mayor Droba explained the City Council identified strengths, areas for improvement, and will meet again in approximately three months to evaluate continued progress. Administrator Anderson emphasized staff was here to serve the City Council and implement identified priorities. Mayor Droba assured him the City Council will speak with one voice.

 

Mayor Droba adjourned the meeting at 5:43 P.M.
