The City of International Falls Public Works Department will be conducting flushing of water mains the week of May 9th through May 13th throughout the city.
Some discoloration of water may occur during this process. In the event discoloration occurs, we advise running the cold water tap for a few minutes until the water is clear. The discoloration will clear up as we move out of your area. Please refrain from washing clothes until your water runs clear.
This operation allows an opportunity to check the function of all the City’s fire hydrants and is necessary to flush out the water mains in order to provide the best quality water year-round to our residents.
