Thank you IFPD and city participants.

Not to be rude but screw it they should be teaching how to spend tax money

Most of all I pray we never need to use these trainings you all go through, please always be safe, we need you officers🙏

Excellent!

Good morning! On 09/04/24 two IFPD Officers saved a life using an AED or Automated External Defibrillator. Since then, the International Falls Police Department has been nominated by the MN Center for Resuscitation Medicine as their Q4 Hearts on Duty recipient of a gifted AED to be placed in the International Falls community. We are asking for replies/suggestions on public use areas where this could be placed. Thanks! ... See MoreSee Less

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions! We have it narrowed down to a couple places now.🙂

If these locations already have an AED, it would be helpful information to determine which place would benefit most. I would guess the sporting venues already have one, what other community locations are already in possession of an AED?

Border bar

Backus?

Sports arenas?

In my opinion, the ideal places are those where most of the population frequents and are the busiest 7 days a week, throughout the year. That would be Menards or Super One as others have suggested.

Does VPN have one? Kerry park or Menards are also good ideas. This a wonderful gift to our community

I'd say sports arena or boat landing possibly smokey bear but usually during big events there are plenty trained able bodies that can do CPR if needed so a sports arena I think is best. This is great news for our community I hope vandals don't get to it though.

Well I’d say once they get the new bandshell made (after insurance portion is done) placing it there. Be a nice addition

The public library

High school, grocery store, senior living homes, at the resorts. There was a heart attack at Islandview Lodge and the ambulance was so far away. Well, needless to say he didn't make it.

Kerry Park Arena

High school County building I'm so proud of our guys in blue congratulations 🎊

Super One or Menards Also the sporting areas need additional support.( Hockey, HS Gym, football stadium)

Super One or Menards

In one of the police cars? Or do they already have them?

The West Falls Apartment building. Many of the Residents here, could benefit when needed.

The high school

Airport

Don't forget the training to use it properly.

Ronnings, trustar, the elks any downtime area

To optimize AED deployment, I recommend a review of high-usage areas and locations with extended EMT response times to prioritize resource allocation.

Smokey Bear park

How about up the lake like tbird or TL Houseboats

City Beach and Boat landings
